Healing, Harvests, and Hope for Cuba
Cuban Aid Alliance is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to feeding the hungry, empowering communities, and rebuilding hope across Cuba — one plate, one project, one person at a time.
Founded by Chef Kyle Gairhan, a Memphis-born chef and entrepreneur who fell in love with the people and spirit of Cuba, the Alliance was born out of one simple idea: no one should go hungry in a country so rich in culture, heart, and talent.
Our flagship project, Un Plato Más, is a free community kitchen in Havana that serves hot, healthy meals to the homeless and hungry children. It also offers affordable takeout meals to locals and tourists, helping sustain the program. Through local sourcing, volunteer partnerships, and pay-it-forward donations, every dollar goes directly toward food and operations — turning compassion into action.

What We Do
Feed the Hungry:
We serve fresh, home-cooked meals to Havana’s most vulnerable — especially children, the elderly, and the homeless.
Grow Sustainability:
We’re developing small gardens and future farms to grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs that will supply the kitchen year-round.
Build Bridges:
Through volunteer trips and partnerships, we bring together Cubans and international supporters who share a heart for service and community.
Respond to Crisis:
During hurricanes and shortages, we mobilize quickly to cook for displaced families and deliver food to those who can’t reach us.

How You Can Help
Every dollar makes a real difference.
$2 = one meal for a hungry child or person in need.
$25 = feeds a small group for an entire day.
$100 = provides the ingredients and supplies to cook over 50 meals.
You can support our mission directly through PayPal: @aidalliance — every contribution goes straight toward food, travel, and supplies for those who need it most.
You can also help by volunteering, joining a mission trip, or sharing our story to raise awareness. Together, we’re not just feeding people — we’re restoring hope.

Our Vision
A Cuba where no child goes hungry, where kindness is shared freely, and where every meal reminds someone they’re not forgotten.
